They are still God's chosen people but by their rejection of Christ as Messiah they have separated themselves from God's will. They are STILL trying to work their way into God's favour by trying ( badly , like the rest of us ) to obey God's laws.Christ came to offer us Salvation by his grace , not as a reward & this concept still hasn't been grasped by those trying to earn it
by their good works & religious rituals.

I do not know what you mean by this question. I will disagree with you on this fact 110%.
Lets examine the fact shall we and the you can tell me if God has abandoned Israel.
1. The victory of Israel over Arab Armies on 1948 they were outnumbered 1:100.
2. The victory over Egypt in 1952 when they blocked of Suez Canal for Israel’s industry (which was illegal by the UN)
3. The Six Day War which Israel has won again with odds against her
4. The Yom Kippur War which Israel was caught of guard but was still able to do what it needed to be done
5. Every day God is with Israel for He is keeping Israel from wiping out Palestinians of the face of the Earth. Israel has the weapons to do it. But they take every step as best as they can to avoid unnecessary bloodshed. If the Palestinians did not hide like chickens in the schools or used human shields they would have only dead terrorists.
6. Despite the world being mostly against Israel the country still has better living conditions then some of the European countries it ranks in top 50 most livable countries.
7. We have more Jews studying in the yeshivas (seminaries) then ever before in Israel (even more then in the biblical days)
8. Alot of Jews are still making aliyah (immigrating to Israel) as before.
9. Jerusalem is rebuild and its economy is growing
10. The technology, medicine, and all other secular knowledge are flourishing in Israel.
As long as there are Jews who care about Israel will be safe because God will keep it safe.
As it says in the Ethics of our fathers without bread there is no Torah and without Torah there is no bread. Which means help yourself and God will help you. If you study from the Torah and have a job then God will never forsake Israel.

It certainly retains that distinction. Your premise is faulty, and so the question is not meaningful.

Some answerer would apparently like to see Israel eliminated. Israel has built a barrier (not a "wall") to separate Israel proper from their peace-loving cousins. Perhaps he has forgotten the suicide bomber who killed three Israelis in the last week by infiltrating into Israel and blowing himself up. Well, there were many more frequent instances of Islamic terrorists murdering innocent Israeli citizens until the barrier went up. When it is finally completed, the murderous attacks should be reduced even further.

If he thinks that this is a sign of a bad neighbor, how does he rate the Arab terrorists?

It is entirely unsafe for a Jew to walk in Ramallah or Jenin. He would likely be killed by one of his Arab "cousins."

And it should be noted that there is no place in the Middle East called "Palestine." What had been Palestine was divided among the Arabs (80 percent of Palestine, now called Jordan) and the Jews (20 percent of Palestine, now called Israel).

Jihadists today invoke the Quran to justify the worst terrorist crimes. Throat slitting of infidels is mentioned in the Quran. Al-Mawardi (d. 1058), the prominent 11th century jurist quoted this verse, specifically, « When you encounter those who deny (the Truth) then strike (their) necks. » (Quran 47 :4), in his learned discussion of jihad. This ritual execution is also mentioned in other Muslim legal texts and in narratives of Christian and prominent Muslim historians. Today it is performed against infidels and recorded on videotape for the edification of Muslim audiences.

This is a loaded question. What makes you think so. Israel is God's true nation. Look in the bible, Torah, and the Quran.

Who said it wasn't? Israel's role in bringing the Messiah into the earth has been fulfilled - but that doesn't mean God does not love her. And He certainly is not finished with her. God has a very special place in His heart for Israel and will fulfill His promise to Abraham. All the land that God promised Abraham will belong to Israel one day. He will protect her and keep her as the "apple of His eye" - He even said Jehovah was married to her. He hasn't changed His mind. He also said anyone who blesses Israel is blessed and anyone who curses Israel is cursed. When you fight against Israel - you fight against God. It is as simple as that.

When Christ died, the Great Curtain of woven gold tore open to expose the Most Holy and the Ark of the Covenant for all to see that God Holy Spirit no longer resided there. Prior to this time, even to see inside this room meant instant death. Only the Most High Priest could see inside and they had to crawl on their hands and knees to get under the curtain.

It was evident for all to see that God had finally abandon the physical Israel. But, there were a new group emerging, who called themselves Christians. But, they would get bored with it begin to follow the old rituals and observances. The Apostle Paul said he felt like his had worked for nothing.

The question now who is the third group to emerge as New Israelites, who will take up the cause of Christ and God?

Jewish theology teaches that the Messiah must come before the land is occupied again. Since Jews don't believe the Messiah has come, many orthodox Jews believe the turmoil is God's punishment for pre-empting his sending of the Anointed One.

Israel rebelled against God so many times on their journey to the promised land . God brought them into the promised land as He said He would. However they would not hearken to what He told them to do and He got fed up with them. They were his chosen people then, but because of their disobedience, they are no longer his chosen. All Christians are God's chosen people today. All who have obeyed his plan of salvation are in His church today. Hope this helps you.

I agree, who decides? Only God will judge and the time is near, look around, read Revelations, but keep in mind that you have to look at it in a different way than how you read the Bible. Good luck in finding your answer...

"Israel" means prince of Elohim. There is only one Elohim- YHVH! Israel the nation does not worship the true Almighty YHVH (or the Savior, who's name is YHVH is Savior, -YAHOSHUA) so that nation is not YHVH;s nation. See Rev, 2:9 and Rev.3:9 for more insight.
