I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering so much at such a young age. Has your doctor Checked you for lupus? I would ask him to check for this condition or possibly Fibromyalgia.

In the meantime I suggest you try soaking in hot baths every evening. This might start relieving the pain. Start taking a good Multivitamin every day, this will replenish what your body is losing and give you valuable calcium and magnesium. I recommend GNC Multi-Gel because it is in a gel form and absorbs quickly into the body, it also contains fish oils which help lubricate the joints.

you might want to go to a chiropractor and have an evaluation. Many times they can find things that have been overlooked. I've enclosed a link where you can find a chiropractor in your area.

If you have any further questions please let me know.

Do you have any other symptoms? You should talk to your mother as i have had the same things for 16 years, only to find out that i have an autoimmune disease, a rhuemotologist is the dr your mother should take you to as they will run the proper tests needed to check for auto immunity... I wish you lots of luck
any chronic pain or other symptoms should be looked into and not just swept aside and dr's are quick to let it go if you dont push for an answer....

it does sound like arthritis... i have arthritis and i'm 23. i've had it for the past 5 years and sounds the same as what you've described....

have you only had ONE doctor examine you? you should see multiple doctors with any condition in order to make sure you're getting the proper diagnosis.

and if for some reason it is not arthritis, if you're an athlete and/or extremely active it could be worn cartilage. if it is bothering you it is worth it to make an effort to see a few other doctors. good luck! :)
