My dear, please do remember one thing. Before yr mother became a mother she is a teenage too, she's having bf and she's act like you too.
B'coz of the experience that she had, made her being too proctective over you. maybe.
Another reason, in this world that we are leaving right now, we cant even trust anyone, even our own sibling. Teenages now thinking more of having fun and enjoy themself. Ratio 3:10 have
clear mind. Think more on their responsiblity and what is right what is not. What yr mum doing is just want to proctect yourself from falling in the wrong direction. She scared you made a wrong choice of friend. Thats y she listen to yr conversation.
You yrself, have to make her trust you more. Try to prove her.

As a parent...I would have to say "what do you have to hide?" But I'm not so far from being a kid that I don't understand what you're saying. I would start by picking one thing that you really want to be private - phone calls for example, and then ask them nicely if they could please give you that privacy. I would have to say that listening in on your phone calls is a little over the top. Try to compromise with them, remembering that they want to keep you safe, and think that knowing everything you do is the only way to do that. Try to remind them, (and give expamples) that you make good decisions, that you know how to keep yourself safe, and let them know that you will talk to them if you have a problem. Good luck.

How old are you? As a parent I can say that I also trust my daughter...but I don't trust the rest of the world at all. No one can love her more than her father and myself...and when it comes down to it no one will protect her more than we will/do. We don't want her to get hurt, emotionally or physically and there are a lot of weirdo's on line and in the world....is it really such a bad thing that they want to keep you safe? Your only young once and we want you to grow-up safely....that's not such a bad thing is it? You'll be an adult for a long time....when it's time.

This is just how parents are hun. You will be the same way when you are a parent. This will all change when you turn 18 and get out of their house and get your own place. Until then just know they love you and are looking out for your best interest.

My mom does the same thing! She gets into my e-mail and spams people! Last week, she spammed my best friend for sending me a forwarded message! What I did, was just set up a little schedule! I told her that I would talk to my firends, and whatever, but anyway! Just tell your parents, that if you were having trouble with something, or you need to talk to them, you will! They don't need to rifle through your stuff to figure it out! Your growing up, your getting a life! Just cuz' they don't have one, doesn't mean they should go through yours!

THANK GOD for parents who care enough to protect their kids until they're grown and able to protect themselves. Parents who don't protect their kids get called to the morgue to identify them.
