My five year-old gets aggressive when she plays with other kids. She has gotten into trouble at school a lot in kindergarten and when she went to daycare. She is very hyper and is being tested for disabilities but she is smart as a tack. I don't know what to do about her aggressive behavior. I have tried to help her. Has anyone experienced this with their child and/or children? Any suggestions?

Alot of kids get aggressive because they can't yet verbalize what they are feeling. They KNOW what they want and what they want to say, but they are still too young to express it with words. It makes them very frustrated because they aren't being understood.

This doesn't necessarily mean that there anything wrong with her. You may want to talk to someone about how to help her stay calm when she can't 'use her words'.

is she an only child?? my son was an only child for 7 years and not used to being around kids before he started school. he was a very aggressive toddler and was aggressive when he started school. he is now in 1st grade and getting better with sharing and not fighting with other kids when they make him mad. just give her some time to adjust to the other kids
