If you just came up with that idea i'd give it some serious thought before going through with it, since that one will be impossible to hide if you need to......but if you've already given it serious thought, I think it sounds great. I want to get a wrist tattoo also but Im waiting a couple years to make sure its what I really want. (it'd be a memorial tattoo). However ---they do sell make up thats specifically for covering tattoos, so if for some reason you ever need to hide it, you can.
Also ---for most of us with tattoos, we've all considered what they're going to look like in 50 years, but we still love them enough to get them. Why does everyone point out that we're going to have them in 50 years and they're going to look bad? we'll be old...our entire bodies are going to look like crap, what difference is a few tattoos going to make? Why live life based on the results it'll have 50 or 60 years from now? That seems pretty boring to me.

Really creative tatoos seem much more interesting than the typical ones you see. However, like others have said...think carefully about how a potential employer would view your tatoo. If you want to work in a corporate setting (banking, teaching, sales also) visible tatoos could hurt your employment chances. Also think about how you'll feel about having the tatoo when you're in your 60s and older. When your waist is a bit saggier as it likely will be in older age will you still think it's attractive to have a tatoo there?

it may sound cool but the palm part would have to be tattooed multiple times just to have the ink stay in there. and you would have to have it touched up quite often because of how rapidly the skin on the hands is exfoliated. unless you are extremely committed to your tattoos then i'd think of something else. do you have any other tattoos or would this be your first?

I would double think that because the tattoo will be visible for everyone to see, and people in the professional fields might judge for that, I recommend getting something more discreet.

The idea itself is interesting - if you can afford to have visible tattoos, of course - but does it have to be a rose?... Why not something less common?

Go ahead. You can apply fake skin if and ever its visibility becomes an issue.

I think it would be great. I would think about your career before you get such a large or noticeable tat on your hand. Employers may disciminate against you because of it.
