I met this guy last night, I have known him, but last night was the first time I had actually talked to him. He got my number from one of his friends. He called me. Me and a gf where going to eat last night, I told him he was welcome to come with us if he wanted. He bought our dinner.

We are going out again tonight...I'm gonna offer to pay for dinner...Do you think I should, since he bought last night....

You may certainly offer. I think that he would appreciate the gesture. I dated a man for about six months. We ate out a lot and went to the movies, bowling, golfing, etc. I tried to pay for things about half the time, so he wouldn't have to carry all of the financial responsibilities. I know he appreciated it.

Did you ask him out, or did he ask you? If he asked you out, he should pay for the dinner again, but you could offer to leave the tip, or pay for some of the evening's other entertainment.

He was not obligated to pay for your dinner with your gf, but shows that he's generous (or at least is trying to impress you). Be careful he's not using the old logic, "I paid for dinner, so she owes me (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)."

If you are the one doing the asking and he insists on paying for everything, insist on paying on the third date. If he won't allow it, he may have some control issues. Or else he's loaded.

the first dinner wasn't a date, because it was you him and the other girl.

If he was willing to pay for all three of you, then he will do it for the "real" date.

Afterall, did the first instance feel like a date, or are you just assuming this was a date because he paid?

you sound cool this offer to pay bit is the way to go . if he accepts ok if he goes half ok if he says no ok . in the future just take him out and you pay period that is cool and nice.

Depends what type of guy he is. Offer on your way out by saying "my treat tonight :)" and if he insists on paying go ahead an let him. Guys have a huge pride issue with this. Let them keep their pride.
Remember to totally be yourself ok? Thats who he likes after all :)
Enjoy yourself sweet :)

I say yes, offer to pay and maybe he will decline. I don't think a guy should always pay, it should be 50-50.

I think it be a nice gesture to do so. impression that you are sponging on the guy is not realyl nice. But if he insist, then just accept gracefully :)
