I am disabled, and I have really bad arthretic knees and also have a really bad back. I need to lose body fat in my Abs and hips. I know the only way to lose it is through aerobic exercise. I am getting so frustrated and I need support more than ever. I do 200 situps a day and i have a hip and thigh master machine too. I can do those till the Cows come home, but unless I lose the body fat, It isnt going to look like I did those areas. Can anyone help me figure out what i am suppose to do. I am already watching my diet, with low calories and low fat. I am 51 years old, 5 Ft. and 145 pounds. I look my best at 125-130. I have had 2 back surgeries and they made the incisions through my abs, the same area i had my hystorectamy. So it is a very flabby area, that when i take my clothes off, i want to throw up. My husband wont touch me, and to be honest I dont want him to until I look and feel better about myself. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Three ten minute workouts is good, you will notice the benefit.
If you do not have heart problem, go on an egg only diet for ten days.Morning, dinner and tea.You can eat Veg with it and a couple of fruits a day.This will give you a pretty quick lose in weight to encourage you with your exercises.
After the egg diet, try to keep your carbs down, it's not how little you eat, it is what you eat.

My Dad has arthritis in his back and elbows. He forces himself to do one 30 minute weight (15lbs per arm) exercises every day. We also aerobic walk for about 1 hour every day. He's okay with that because I can tell from his pain thresholds that he needs to keep moving. He hates cold wet weather.

In my opinion, I think a workout for 30 mins is just as effective as a one hour work out. It is all about training smart, and disciplining yourself.
