FBI #'s are attached to criminal history checks. Immediate access to the " jacket file " as they are called here in Illinois are only viewable by law enforcement officers. A process can be submitted by civilians to see the info. through a freedom of information act request. This may take several weeks if the information is approved for viewing.

Better have a good reason for why you want to see it too..... I've seen them denied many times.

An individuals FBI number is only readily available to law enforcement officials. However, the FBI number may be on some paper trails. The FBI number is commonly found on criminal complaints, arrest sheets, fingerprint cards, wanted posters and other forms of that nature.
