A sultana is a dried sultana grape which was originally grown in Turkey and Persia for sweet wine production. Raisins are dried grapes from any other white grape variety. Currants are dried black grapes. Some raisins are dried artificially while others are dried naturally. So sulltanas are raisins with a specific name for the species of grape used to make them.

SULTANA:-
Originating in Smyrna, Turkey, this small, pale golden-green grape was once used to make wine. Today, however, it's cultivated primarily for raisins. Its offspring in the United States is known as the Thompson seedless grape.

RAISIN:-
In the most basic terms, a raisin is simply a dried grape. The grapes are either sun-dried or dehydrated mechanically. Dark raisins are sun-dried for several weeks, thereby producing their shriveled appearance and dark color. Golden raisins have been treated with sulphur dioxide (to prevent their color from darkening) and dried with artificial heat, thereby producing a moister, plumper product.

So to answer your question, Sultana is just one variety of grape which when dried is called a Raisin. There are a wide variety of Raisins and that just depends on the kind of grape used.
