The Hebrew (and original) form of this name is Yada [pronounced: ya-DA]: ידע, or with vowels: יָדַע.
It actually means "[he] knew".

A modern transliteration of your name would be ג'דה, or with vowels: גָ'דַה. [pronounced: ja-DA, or JA-da]

Well, it doesn't really mean "wisdom", it is from the verb yada' which means "he knows". It is the name of the son of Onam in the lists of Chronicles. It is simply a pretty sounding name in English, and suits a girl well, though it is a boy's name historically. Kinda reminds me of the Italian girl's name Giada.

The word looks like this (yod, dalet, 'ayin):

יָדָע
