Forgiveness is often a process as well as an event. When we are hurt by someone we often many times have to forgive them even though they may have actually offended us only once. It is the natural tendency of the fallen human heart to want to hold on to unforgiveness. But it is not the way of the Spirit. What does the Bible say...Jesus was asked that if someones brother were to sin against them and then ask for forgiveness seven times, should they be forgiven. His reply was not seven but 70 times 7. This wasn't meant to be an exhaustive number but to convey the point that forgiveness should be often and complete. This will at times mean falling on my knees and crying to God to help me forgive someone, because it can be very hard. remember this, Christ died for us while we were yet sinners...if this is His heart for us, I think we can see how He wants us to be with others. We were the most undeserving to be forgiven yet were freely justified by His blood, how much more ought we to forgive those whose transgression against us was not nearly as great as ours was against God?

Well for one, Jesus said "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets." When you were saved and you repented of all your sins and you confessed your sins to Him, asking Him to forgive you, He forgave you and cast those sins into the sea of forgetfulness to be remembered no more sooooo......... if you want to please God you MUST forgive every one his trespasses. Otherwise you will not enter into the kingdom of God. Forgiving others is for your own good. It's also like a gift that you give to write off whatever debt that people owe you when they sin against you.

The bible says we should forgive other Christians. However in Luke 19:27 Jesus clearly tells us to kill non-believers.

if you don't forgive then god will not forgive you. and i know that it is hard right now for you to forgive that person but you have to try and forgive and when you do that you will feel a lot better.

i'm not a christian but my religion says to forgive people too. christians aren't the only ones that don't like holding grudges. you should just focus on one person and one thing at a time and try to let go of the hurtful thing that they did. it won't be easy, but i wish you luck. when it comes time to ask for their forgiveness, hopefully they will be humbled by the gesture and accept. if they don't then...what kind of friend or person are you associating with?

Jesus said we are to love others as he loved us so that is the the truth. Forgive those and ask for forgiveness. If you do not and it goes undone then in judgment it will be upon those sins that we have that are not forgiven by others and by GOD.

The Bible says we are to turn our cheek (or forgive) seven times seventy. That's too much of a stretch for this kid!
