"Is Christianity a social club for heterosexuals only?"
NO! lol
I'm bisexual. I defend Gays that are attacked by Fundies using the Bible as a reference Any 'church' that says that Gays have to stay out, or cannot be a Christian has something wrong with it.
Social practices are not necessarily 'religious' or recognize as a 'religious event', Christians being present or not. Perhaps this part of the question should be a tax related question or perhaps a political question.
"Seems to me that Christianity these days involves a certain amount of the worship of heterosexuality in marriage. Maybe they should tone it down and concentrate on loving God!"
I'm not so sure about your use of the word, "worship" but the rest of what you said was so right on that I have nothing intelligent to add to it. The rest of what you said makes me have hope that there are some who see it the way I do as well. I totally agree.

Christians would be hard pressed to exclude homosexuals. They teach that "all have sinned and fall (present tense) short of the glory of God". Thus everyone is a sinner. Homosexuality is only as much a sin as being unkind to your children or not forgiving those who wrong you, thus unless you plan to exclude the entire human race, excluding based on sin, homosexuality or otherwise, would be a blasphemy.

Christians as a religious community don't accept gays.
I'm not talking everyone. But the main flow of Christers is that.
Your chance of getting tax free situation is null and void.
Too bad,
gays are not a voting bloc.

I guess I really don't understand. If people are good Christians they wouldn't care about a persons sexual orientation. You can be a homosexual and be a Christian. Who am I to judge? I am not Him. On a different note....don't even get me started about church being the biggest business in the country. I don't believe in churches. God is not a church and He didn't build them. He built the mountains, woods, seas, valley's....that's my church. Where I can not only "see" Him but listen to the sounds He makes.

No. Christianity shows people how to get to heaven and have better lives here. God says homosexuality is an abomination, and statistics show that homosexuals live far shorter lives than normal people. Please let the church save you from yourself...

Why can't you start a christian organization with homosexuals? Anyone can say anything, and pick/choose something from the bible to support them; I can't see why this would be limited to heterosexuals.
