I would eat 2 pieces of wheat toast, smeared with peanut butter, and topped with a sliced banana. Drink a glass of OJ and milk. Make sure you get plenty of sleep the night before. Another thing that always seemed to help me was to dress comfortably. You can't concentrate if you're uncomfortable. I hope this helps. Good luck on your test.

Honestly, I'm always so stressed before an exam that I can't eat but it's really important to have a little energetic breakfast before hard intellectual work. I recommend eating banana, nuts and a piece of dark bread with sth e.g. jam. I don't drink coffee before an exam because after that my hand are shaking and I can't stop doing that. Cocoa is much better - it gives energy and produces serotonin so you'll feel relaxed. You shouldn't be hungry after such breakfast. Don't forget about vitamins. Except of them take some magnesium - it has a big influence on concentration.
Good luck.
PS. I know what you feel because I have three exams this week.

I wouldn't eat anything that has sugars in them...
By the way...my son (also a college student)...was reading on line that your brain actually functions better when you are hungry...think about it...when we have a nice big meal....we get sleepy....want to rest....I was thinking....maybe it is because when you are hungry...you are kind of it a hunt mode...thus being alert...If you think about it....it does make sense...so I would eat very light...no dairy...no sugars...If I were going to an exam...I would have a small piece of meat...and a few raw vegetables...(even if it is breakfast)...sugars, grains, dairy can cause your thinking to be more fuzzy....

Absolutely. Eat breakfast. Give yourself plenty of time that morning so you're not rushing out the door.
Blueberries are touted for clear thinking.
A bowl of hot oatmeal with fresh blueberries mixed in will keep you full until lunchtime and give you the heart-healthy start with antioxidant benefits of the blueberries.
Go potty before leaving the house. Nothing worse than rushing out with a full bladder, then once you arrive you're pressed for time.
Good luck!

I would eat what I normally eat for breakfast. Just make sure you get a good nights sleep the night before the test.

I would suggest an egg mcmuffin. They are filling but don't make me sleepy like sugary cereal does.
although if you don't normally eat a breakfast it might mess you up to change up your normal routine on the day of a test.

Bananas have been proven to boost short term memory (just what you need for an exam) You want to avoid a lot of sugars and carbohydrates.

Fruit for the carbs but not too much because it is sugary, (so maybe some wheat toast instead?) and some protien--eggs, chicken...
