Haha, migraines huh? Well, personally I think there are plenty of reasons it should be legalized. I'll list them for you.

1. I live in Brooklyn, NY and am paying nearly 7 bucks for a pack of cigarettes, if the government really wants to make money it's as simple as selling weed at corner stores for ridiculous prices, same as cigarettes, people will buy it no matter what the cost, and they'll be richer.....they aren't nearly as intelligent as they should be.

2. Alcohol is a drug, and is legal. Marijuana is a drug and illegal. Now when a person drinks alcohol in excess, most likely they will end up fighting-driving-arguing-disrupting-hurting themselves, or other innocent bystanders. Somebody smokes too much pot...they don't get their laundry done, may eat too much, or fall asleep.

3. In my experience I've never seen anybody high on marijuana get angry, loud, violent or any other negatives really. Just happy and stupid and hungry.

4. Also, (kids, stop reading this now) between driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana I can honestly say that driving when high rather than drunk is alot safer. Of course, neither is really safe at all, and people should always drive sober!

5. Pot makes you happy and calm and creative, alcohol can have the same effects, but one negative thought or experience while drunk and I KNOW YOU'VE SEEN IT...drunk people can get pretty damn nasty.

As far as health effects, I'd say they are about equal in debilitating factors, just in different ways.

LEGALIZE IT !!!!!

Yes and like other drugs or alcohol it should be manufactured according to guidelines and specifications that remove other harmful toxins and chemicals, depending on how the substance is to be used.
Cigarette and Alcohol companies have strict guidelines and controls and have to limit the dosage and usage of certain chemicals so why should the same not apply to marijuana?
Using the example of the illegal liquor trade during the prohibition that fell into the hands of criminals we would be able to eradicate a lot of crime by allowing reputable companies (those that follow the government specifications) to manufacture the product.
I am a non-user, but see no difference between this and alcohol or cigarettes, if it is made safer for the user that can only be a benefit to us all surely?!
Good question!!

Absolutely! My Mother uses it for her arthritis. I use it as a mild intoxicant, I do not use alcohol, which while legal is a heavy drug, much like heroin except it is harder on the liver than even heroin.
Marijuana should be made legal. EVERY POLL THEY HAVE TAKEN SHOWS THE PEOPLE WANT MARIJUANA LEGALISED! In fact the polls are so positive for marijuana legalisation some newspapers refuse to print the results....Heads up DALLAS MORNING NEWS. Even a DEA law judge has spoken out in favor of legalisation. The time is NOW!

Why not??
We live in a world where everything around us is harmful. People live in big cities, breathing carbon dioxide and other poluting fumes, they spray their bodies and the air with chemicals, eat meat from plastic wrapping, vegetables growing up with chemicals, and eat fish from waters where the Great Powers test nuclear weapons.
All these are reasons from which people CAN die.
Marijuana, and other plants that produce similar effects, have been in use for hundreds of years; Noone has ever died of marijuana. Noone has gone dumb of marijuana. In fact many "accepted" geniuses of the previous centuries were constant users of the substance. Poets, writers, scientists, composers...
But lets face it. As long as its illegal, governments get much more money by pretending to persecute its use. Black money, but money still. If they really did not want it to circulate in the market they could do lots about it. But, as far as I know, its as easy to get some gramms of weed as it is to go buy a six-pack of beers.

YES. Marijuana is a plant. From nature. God sent and not man made. Should have never been outlawed. I use it also for relaxing, pms, nausea and migraines also.

It should be treated as a "soft" drug along with alcohol and tobacco. We need to learn from europes approach to drugs. Remove the "criminal" stigma of drug abuse and re-classify it as a medical problem. Pain is the number one reason we see a doctor, period. Yet pain relief is the dilemma we face, at what point does pain relief become 'pleasure' and should I feel guilty for feeling good, without pain. Pain is not just physical either. ANY ADULT, should have the right to "not wear a helmet" and "smoke a big fatty",,, keeping all drugs away from kids, period!

yes i am a true believer in the legalization of marijuana and think that it should be legalized. and sold on the shelf at any corner store just like cigarettes, that way the goverment can make money off the sale of a pack of joints just as easy as they can cigarettes.

It truly depends on your situation. Now if you have been diagnosed with cancer and going through chemo, I would suggest it. Having smoked it myself when I was much younger, it would lessen your emotional reaction/possible physical reaction of the chemo.

If you have migraines though, you need to talk to a doctor. Have him/her check for high blood pressure as well.

Good Luck!

Yes I think the Government could tax the hell out of it and use the money they get for use full things like to help pay for peoples health care or put the money towards public education. It would also save space in our jails.
