A rude, no, arrogant yes.
What I consider both rude and arrogant is the attitude I've just not researched or thought about the issues of religion. It's not surprising that, on a whole, most atheists know more about Christianity than many Christians. Certainly more about other religions.

No...I consider it FACT !! Open your eyes & have a good look around you. This world is going to hell in a handbasket.....SIN (not a popular word ) has become endemic in our culture to the point we cringe at calling it for what it is. If we refuse to recognise SIN for what it is & water down the moral values of our society is it any wonder the world considers it " rude & arrogant " when Christianity tries to stand up for what is right & just !

They are "required" to pass on the Word. BUT...I resent that the holier-than-thou feel that they can judge. I'm sorry, I know preachers, fathers, etc...that have done and do some pretty bad things and everyone looks the other way. I refuse to sit in church and listen to these people tell me that I'M doomed. Whatever! I have my bible. I have God. I try to live by his Word...and I don't judge. I am a good Christian but churches really wnat me in their congragation so I can give them my money to pay their salieries and put their kids through college. Sorry, my daughter is set on college and I'm wanting to go back to school.
I will do whatever I can to help someone but I will not judge them for who they are....

If you are nor following Christ it is neither rude OR arrogant for someone to offer you information on how to become a Christian and to point out to you that you are headed down the lost and damned path.
Actually, we are REQUIRED to pass the word along to you and anyone else who isn't a Christian.
Why does it bother you that we are concerned for your soul?

It depends more on their delivery of that message. If they simply say it, it's just expressing their belief. However, some may say it with a fair amount of vitriol, and clearly intend it as an elitist remark. It's the latter I find rude and offensive.
And, in the interest of neutrality, I find it just as offensive when other atheists demonstrate a similar (though non-theistic) elitism.

No...it just christians showing their religious conviction. Although, I do enjoy seeing the looks on their faces when I tell them that for me to accept their 'salvation' by accepting Jesus results in death sentence imposed by God's Heavenly Court.

I resent it if they start to preach to me and then tell me that I am damned and or going to hell if I don't find Jesus, but if they asked me if I have been saved and I answer no and they just tell me that I need to be saved in a casual manner and don't try to force it on me, then I usually don't even pay attention to them. Most Christian's mean well even though they sometimes try to force religion on you. Most of them that do that are concerned about your well being, believe it or not.

... I am a Christian and I guess I would consider it rude if some random person walzed up and said that... it's their opinion and their decision. You shouldn't take into consideration what other peeps might think of you :]

Definitely not. They are merely revealing that they care about you and your soul. Let's face it. Who among us longs to burn in hell? Not many. Don't make insinuations. Tell it like it is.
