I'm asking this since my aunt has a female cat who she think is in heat. So, she is keeping her INSIDE. this cat also has a 4 month old kitten that is a male so my aunt was worried that the kitten could get the mother pregnant.

Yes, a four month old un-neutered male cat can most definintly get an un-spayed female pregnant.

A four month old male is more than old enough to be neutered.

A male cat can mate as soon as his testes drop. If there is no sign of this yet in her male cat, not to worry yet--take him to be neutered (which can be done anytime) and the worry will be over. Good luck to you and your aunt.

Generally male kittens are fixed at about 6 months, which is when they start to develop. So you wouldn't have to worry about a 4 month old kitten. But your aunt will definatly want to start thinking about getting one of them fixed.

At 4 months, not yet but it will be soon. She should have both cats fixed now.
