My boyfriend calls and we talk for a long time... is that going to show up on the phone bill since I dont want my parents knowing i talk to him. The phone call is private though, and i heard from a friend that it doesn't show the number on the phone bill. (i used AT&T) (this is a home phone)

most likely it will not show up, but if your patents are computer-savvy...then you can look at a computer calling-log...but its a payed feature....so if you don't see them on the computer....I guess you're save....

It will not show up on the phone bill. Don't worry. But if your parents want to know if you are calling him, they can call the phone company and find out.

No, a private number should not show up. But the call will be logged , so the time and the length of the call will show up.

Only calls that you are charged for show up on your bill.

You are not charged for incoming calls unless they called you collect, but you would know if they called you collect because you would have to give permission before accepting the call.

However, I'm sure they can call the phone company and get a list of all incoming/outgoing calls for a nominal charge.

The call will show up, but will appear as an unlisted or private number...unless your parents want to file police reports for harassment, they can't find out the number (at least that is the case where I live).

Incoming calls don't show up on home phones, private or not.
