I know looks should not be important ,but come on i mean he's really bad looking. It was bad enough he told me he's a nerd, but now that i've seen him i don't want to meet him.Here's the problem when were online chatting he is evertything a girl could ask for, respectful, kind and funny, i could talk to him for hours.I am not pretty miss perfect, but i'm not bad looking either, what do i say to him i don't want to bust out laughing if i do ever meet him.

Take the picture. Can you think of ways the guy could look better? REALLY??? Can he? If he has thinning hair what about giving the guy a buzz cut,.. Big azz nose? Nose job?
It's nice that you would kinda fall for a geeky dude. Women are usually stupid and fall for the shallow jerks with no brains and no career then get knocked up and have 2 or 3 kids and find out that the geeky guy is the one that will make a home, create stability, and love you for eternity.
See how shallow and stupid my statement just sounded?
Maybe you could improve the guy a little. A little TLC could help.

The most important thing I haven't seen one person mention.....you MUST be very careful when "meeting people offline"...not ereryone is HONEST on here. Then you have the added bonus that there are some disturbed people in this world who can use technology to fullfil their distained fantasies. PLEASE be careful....as for his looks,you are the only one who can really answer that part...are they "that" important in a prospective relationship to you???Looks do not tell you "who" the person is or "what" they are like! If looks ARE a vitality to you then don't continue getting his feelings further involved in the possibility. If looks are important to you it is NOT a bad thing and don't let anyone tell you otherwise....that is why we have a mind of our own,to decide what is important to US...if he is a genuinely "good" person but not for you,then let him know gently and think of a friend whom he mind get along with....I do not think you would "laugh" if you met him,you would feel comfort for the friendship you have developed...over-riding the looks issue in question. You are not the girl for this kind, respectable, funny person. If you were you would like him for who he is. Believe it or not, it is guys like him that a girl will think about when she finds herself in a relationship where she is disrespected and treated badly. You know, beauty is not lasting when it is viewed from what is on the outside. We all eventually age, our looks change drastically so much so that the outer beauty is only a memory we keep in a photograph. By contrast, inner beauty is what is lasting. If you feel this guy is not good enough because of his outer appearance then by all means do him a favour and let him go, after all, you would not want to be with an ugly duckling, you want to be with all the good looking people. So go ahead and hope when you get old and lose your beauty that at least things in life will have matured you enough to be beautiful inside. Regardless, my best to you!

Well, decied what is most important to you, the way he treats you or the way he looks. But if you do decide that you dont want to meet up with him, then just be honest with him. If you lead him on then the relationship" may get to a point where yo dont want it. Maybe ask him for some more pictures. That one may have just been old or just a bad picture.

If you don't have the physical attraction then don't lead him on. I would probably meet him, but I would tell him straight away the whole "let's just be friends" speech.
Tell him you love conversation with him, but there's someone else you have "clicked" with better. I know it's crappy to lie like that but don't not meet him - that will make you a coward and appear that you are above him. He is, in fact, still human and deserves respect despite physical appearance.

Tell him that while you enjoy talking to him on-line, and you enjoy his conversation, it goes against your policy to meet with the people you chat to on-line and you would even love to keep up the dialogue but because of the dangers involved in meeting a stranger, you can only remain friends on line.
This will save you from any confrontation and the possibility that you have to come face to face with Mr UGLY While still preserving Mr dream boy And your on-line connection

You are right. If you can't look at the guy its not much point meeting him. Unless of course he agrees to put a paper bag on his head at the meeting. Also, its pretty easy to be nice and respectful online - he might be a real prick in real life. Find out if looks are important to him too by sending him a picture of a monkeys as.s with your name under it. I bet you never hear from him again.

I assume you are young as your question and concerns seem quite shallow. Although looking in the mirror may please you now you must surely know that looks for the most part are only temporary. It sounds as though this young man deserves someone with more substance. I only hope that you realize the very good looking ones are, for the most part, on the internet to play the game. Be careful you could be their next challenge before they move on.

Dont let people tell you you're self centered. You should never settle for less than what you want in life. Physical attraction is soooooo important in a relationship and keeping love alive. Tell him that you still want time to get to know him. you dont have to rush into a relationship with this guy. be friends but dont lead him on anymore.

ppl can come across very see nice etc very easily online cos u can let u imagination run loose and imagine ppl the way u want to imagine them to be online, thats until u see te pic then u gotta take a step back, but if u can't get past his looks then don't lead him on and meet him, but if u really like his personality then get to know him a bit better online
