I exercises when I'm feeling stressed or low, it gives you a natural high. If you feel like you are really depressed though its worth going to see your doctor to see if he can help. Have you got someone to talk too? A good moan over a cuppa and a big bar of chocolate helps me too! I hope you are OK, E Mail me if you like x

Yes, look at things in a positive way. IF you find that, that is to hard, ( like I told one girl) put yourself on a "happy plan" go through they day and find two things that are positive about your surrounds ot the people that you are around. Also find two things about yourself that is happy and positive. The next day try three, then after that try four and so on and so forth until you think positve about yourself and others all the time. Everyone has their bad days...but always think to yourself tomorrow will come and it will be all better. Also forgive yourself when you make a mistake. Do not be so hard on yourself sometimes we are our worse critict. IF you are always sad and down talk to someone.

dear friend
i have been through this phase. the situation is actually a bit tricky. you want to come out of depresssion but you are not able to. you would want to let go of everything but somehow the past comes to haunt you.
under such situations you have to take help from god. chant the name of god.
for example you can do something that has practically worked for me. just sit down on a cot, beathe out completely and close your nostrils tightly.
dont breathe in whatever may happen. try to hold your breath for as long as you can, till the point of suffocation when you can no longer hold it.
you should hold your breath for atleast 3 minutes.
then when you reach the extreme, take a huge deep breath in.
this will fill your nervous system with plenty of oxygen you will feel totally refreshed.
this sudden influx of oxugen will wash out all gloomy thoughts.
god is nothing but a divine will that works through you. breathing in and breathing out is an involuntary action over which you have no control.
understand that it is god who is seated in your soul and does the breathing and breathing out.
have the company of holy people. join a group of devotees. everything will be fine

Being sad or down is something that should be avoided. You have to know pain to know true happiness...

Make yourself get out and visit some friends. Or just get out by yourself and go sight seeing. Read a inspirational book to get your spirits up.

If you suffer from depression, sometimes you can see the signs coming and influence the feelings.
Do more exercise and make sure not to isolate yourself; keep talking and keep busy.

Well, there are times that depression hunts me down. When it does, I try to sleep or punch the wall until my fists bleed and the pain becomes overwhelming.
