They could have a great nursing program, really smart students, or more likely, have a great program that prepares people for the exam.
They may teach to the exam..

Previous answerer nailed it - there are many reasons, but that is a major part of it - most health sci9ences programs are selective admissions - so it the average GPA of a nursing class is 3.50, then the majority, if not all will pass their boards at the end.
Check out the national first time pass rates for the nursing boards as well - if it appears to be relatively high in the first place, then it is not a very good discriminator and has a relatively low level threshold/measure of competence for practice.
Almost all programs claim a 100% pass rate. make sure they are talking about "first-time" pass rate, not ultimate pass rate after two or three tries.
Good luck in school. ( I am assuming you are in Nursing School) - but never assume.....

I assume that includes only students who take the test.- not necessarily students who are eligible. AT any rate, it's possible in either situation....Why wouldn't it be?
