I need to blow off steam. This is ridiculous, a formal event and it is turned into an orgie embarassing my children. Is consideration a thing of the past?

Personally, if I saw two teens making out in front of me, that would be all the gift I need. As far as your situation goes, were all the guests invited? Next time, greet each one by name at the door, and look in their eyes so they know they are no anonymous. I work at an amusement park, and when lots of teens come their for the first time, they think anything goes, there are no rules. Making sure that you greet them takes away their anonymity, which is what causes a lot of people to go wild.

If you find a couple going for the gold, just say what they said to me once when i was a teen at Disneyland- they said "hey, we see you've found a really nice spot here, but we have to be careful because this isn't allowed." Works well. People in groups behave differently, I know it's bs.

If you are footing the bill for the party you need to step up and kick them out. Especially if it is a formal party. By not handling this properly the kids will see it as you condoning it and they think that they can get away with it. If Someone did that at a party for one of my kids they would have a boot print on their butt!

They were teenagers... call their parents or call the cops. What is the big deal? If more people weren't so petrified of teeing off a couple of teenagers, the world would be a better place.
