I think its possible for people to end relationships that shouldn't end and then be in separate places. One admits their continuing love, even for years, and the other denies but still considers that person their one true love. What do you think?

As long as both parties are unwilling to admit their mutual love of one another, it would never work.

It seems as though one of them actually does love the other, and willing to shout it form the roof tops. The other one is either ashamed, or a fool ( assuming they do still have feelings)
The one openly admitting it will look like a fool, chasing after the one who is in denial.
In time the one who still acknowledges the feelings will end up resenting the one who doesn't, I know i have been on the giving end of the nonreciprocating love.

In modern days, there is no true love - atleast it is very rare to find in relationships.

Love is not static and it keeps changing according to the changes in the attitudes of individuals as a result of changes in the circumstances and life situations.
