Myopia, also known as short sightness, requires a prescription from an optician,as both eyes will not identical in terms of short sightness. You can buy the frame without any lenses from any optician and save them for a later date. The lenses will be made to your prescription and therefore if you want to save money you can replace the lenses on your existing pair of glasses (it's good to have two pair of glasses).

The one problem with building your own computer is that you must be proficient enough to make sure all your components match, also most bought computers come with a fair degree of software, which if you build one yourself you must also buy the software to run on it. While I will change components, fit a new processor, memory and motherboard I bought a computer from Dell, if you wanted to you could buy a computer on EBay, but make sure you get a good spec and above all a decent warranty

You've answered your own question friend. You can't buy prescription glasses off the shelf because you need a prescription, and to get one you need an eye examination.

But even if you could, you wouldn't be doing yourself any favours . You might even damage your eyesight. You need to be examined to get the correct lens for your requirements.

I don't think you can. If you know your perscription, you can get relatively inexpensive ones from a discount source such as WalMart or 4eyes.
