Don't be friends. If you are SCARED then that is not a felling you should have with friends. PLUS you are basically knowing that the guy wants to date you. How can you be friends when he wants you in another way. Don't you think it will be disastrous?

You notice she called the guy a big nerd. Shows how insensitive you are.... You can be friends with a nerd but not date one? Do you really have a boy friend or are you just a STUPID LIAR that finds looks more appealing over brains?

I just used the above as an example of what kind of FALSE friendship that would be. Nothing against you, unless maybe I did hit a soft spot?

Why would he be mad at you? Just tell him the truth. Tell him that you are flattered but that you already have a boyfriend. However, you like him as a person and hope that you both can be friends. Just be honest but nice and let him down easy.

tell him this and exactly this "that you'r really flattered by his offer and he's very sweet, but at the moment you are already in a relationship, and although you have a boyfriend now if you sepearate for any reason, you will reconsider his proposition, but until then you would likt to stay just friends" then give him a smile

DO NOT and i repeat DO NOT
be a total cow to him, and:
a) pash your boyfriend madly in front of him, so he gets the hint
b) tell him to F off or be vulgar in any way; or
c) tell him he is a loser and there is no way you would ever date somone like him

be nice, but to the point, truth is always the way to go.

It is better to be up front then to lead him on. Yes he may be a little hurt now. He will get over the hurt and maybe it will make him move on. If you have a boy friend then maybe have him stop in and say hi to you once in a while. If the "nerd" sees this maybe he will get the hint.

You could tell him that you're very flattered by him asking you out, but you currently have a boyfriend, and would love to hang out and be friends. Or if you think he wont believe you, and think you're just blowing him off, you can bring your boyfriend with when you say it.

Something like that, but I wouldnt go out with him, espeically because that could cause some conflict between your boyfriend and yourself.

#1 Who is more important to you, your boyfriend or this nerdy friend?

I understand you don't want to hurt your friend's feelings; but, that is life. Some girls say "Yes" and some will say "No." Saying no thank you right now, I am currently seeing some one will add more respect and honesty from your friend.

If you don't say anything and go out with him. How will you feel if you hurt your boyfriend's feelings by cheating on him?

Like I said, who is more important to you? Your boyfriend's feelings or this friend's feelings?

Good luck with your decision.

Just tell him you want to be friends. And if he gets mad at you then you don't need him as a friend.

that depends, if you want to just be friends with him then be honest with him. and just because you think he is a nerd is no reason to just blow him off. he is a person just like you and has feelings too. let him down easy if you dont want to go out with him.
