Wait for at least 2 more weeks. The deadline of Jan 31 is for companies to get the W2s IN THE MAIL. You should allow at least a week after that for delivery.

If you haven't received your W2 by 2/15, your first step is to ask the company for a copy.

If you haven't received it by 2/28 you should contact the IRS. The IRS will investigate the matter. Once the IRS gets involved any late W2s tend to appear VERY quickly.

If by Jan 31st you have not received your W2, call the employer and ask them if they have been sent. If by Feb 15th you have not received it, call the Internal Revenue Service and file a W2 complaint.

They wil take a report and send you a form that you can use as a subsitute, you will need your last paycheck stub when you call, along with the name, address and phone# of the employer and what dates you worked for them

Legally, you can talk badly about them to your pets.
