2) If I stay in a hotel in Bangkok, can I leave my baggage in my hotel by paying some minimal fee.

Hi, the new airport does not have any facility to safekeep luggage yet. People had asked and were told there is none at this time. I will suggest that you do this at the hotel you are staying while in Bangkok. If you tell tehm you are going back to stay again after your Chiangmai trip, I think you can store for free too!

At the more reputable hotels, definitely your luggage will be ok. However, as in any logical term, do not leave any valuables in your luggage during storage. You need to guard against what-if. It may not be the hotel staff, it can be walk-in pretenders who rummage the left luggages.

Enjoy Chiangmai, it will be lovely this time of the year.
