Gal 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’)

Jesus death on the cross is symbolised in this scripture as someone who hanged on a tree to redeem us from the curse of the law. The curse of the law is God's judgment and punishment for all our sins..

If we as Christians fall from grace by going back to the works of the law we subject ourselves to the curse of the law again (Gal 3:10)

I agree with seekfind. I would also like to point out that "Roman Tree" was a common term for a Cross at the Time of Christ.

It sounds pretty obvious. It means that if you are hung on a tree you are cursed (probably by god). Doesn’t really sound fair. I mean, what if you’re innocent?

I don't know about cursed. If you change the word "cursed" to unlucky. I'll go along with it.
