Send him an email letting him know that you are interested and ask him if he would like to go out with you sometime. Just be yourself he will be more likely to like you then but if you are fake then he will know.

i no me personally, if a guy asks me out on AIM, email, and depending who a phone call i will say no. Just because it means more in person. I think you are better off calling or asking in person. but if you don't want to, just come out and ask him.
