From what I heard, it can hurt your kidney's more than it can help.
Check with your doctor. My sister in law takes a lot of Ibuprofen and has been told by her doctor, that she needs to cut back, because her kidneys are being affected, she suffers from severe arthritis.

Brufen is a medication that was originaly developed for the treatment of Arthritic conditions. It is an anti-inflamatory, meaning that it aids in reducing swelling and subsequent pain associated with swelling. It became popular because it did not damage the Kidneys, to the extent of paracetamol when used over a long period of time. However Brufen, by it's many trade names, has a tendency to affect the stomach lining, causing Ulceration and bleeding if not taken properly, with food, and Kidney failure from continued use is a possibilty. Although it is now marketed as a headache and Pain remedy, If inflammation is not present, it can be of little use. Always check with your Doctor or pharmacy before using any medication.

Pharmaceuticals do not make anything strong. They move symptoms around, and damage things. Ibuprofen is a Liver toxin, and if you kill your liver, you are dead. If you need a diuretic-- Corn silk tea works well. If you want a kidney cleanser, the whole watermelon is really good (The peel is the most effective part)

no pain pills are good for your kidneys in fact the more you take the more damage you can do to them. I have a friend that took pain pills for headaches everyday for years he didn't want to go to the Dr's. he ended up killing his kidneys and is now on dyalisis three times a week. His headaches came from high blood pressure so all that time he needed meds for that, so be careful how much you take pain meds.

It can damage your kidneys and liver. My daughter has lupus nephritis and cannot take ibuprofen, vicodin, or any painkiller. If you already have inflamed kidneys do not take it.
