The last two centuries are when the fact of evolution has been established beyond question and the theory of evolution has been developed to explain the biological mechanisms involved in the evolution of species. Creationism is now a non-issue outwith the US and even there I don't expect it to remain popular for much longer.

A thought: "Science" claims that dinosaurs died out about 65 million years ago.

However, some of the books of the Bible describe creatures which perfectly fit the description of dinosaurs, yet these books were written only a few thousand years ago!

Read the description of the Behemoth, in Job 40. Do you know of any creatures, leaving aside dinosaurs, which have a long tail like a cedar?

They do seem a little slow off the mark. But this is hardly new. Religion has been pretty anti-science since religions began. Which when their whole faith revolves around the 'you can't disprove us' argument is hardly surprising.

The real scandal is the lengths they go to to try to make creationism sound like it is a theory equal to evolution. And i do mean 'sound'. Their entire approach appears to have been copied from the PR campaigns used by the tobacco companies.

I'm not a creationist but I have to say, when you look at some of the weird and wonderful creatures on nature documentaries, it can be hard to explain how the theory of evolution could have applied. Some kind of Intelligent Design seems more likely, doesn't it? We're all kind of fixated on the theory of evolution because that's what we're taught in school, but it's not the only theory.
