years ago in the dictionary the n word meant black people. my aunt still has the dictionary that said it. but the government advised to change it to "ignorant", because we dont live in a huge racial society anymore

It was suppose tp mean Nigerian which was turned into an insult which turned into ****** which the black slaves used to call each other back in the day used as a code so that the white man did not know what they were saying called Ebonics. Now this day it is an insult....which I feel is funny because black peolpe call each other it all the time.

Unlike the word "f ag" or "*****" that has several legitimate, and non-slur meanings, the "N" word is pure slur, no other definition that I could find. It originated from the word "*****", which means "black" or "black-skinned person".
