"Maybe" is his way of saying, "done", "over", "finished". He's toying with you, and you're playing right into it. End this silly game, and get on with your life. He has a new girlfriend. Does that not tell you what "maybe" means? You need to move on!

I once asked a woman what maybe ment to most women, she said, "Maybe means no, but in a nice way." But you ex might not want to cut the ties with u beause if his current gf doesnt work out then he has u to fall back on. Course he sould just be confused about both of u. Either way good luck.

sounds like he's tired of u and that he's brushing u off cause he doesn't want to be bothered anymore.. if u and him are ex's then why are u even asking him what type of friends u should be.. it doesn't matter cause ur not w/him and he's not w/u.. sounds like ur still trying to hang on.. no one likes to be clinged to... when u break up w/someone the idea would be to move on.. and if u remain friends then good for u, but if not then keep it moving...

Sounds to me like he wants to move on but doesn't want to hurt your feelings. Tell him you need him to be honest with you. Some people just aren't comfortable being friends with exes.

I think he's just confused. Give it some time, then ask again.
And if then he doesnt give you a straight answer, keep asking! You deserve a straight answer.
also, can anybody please help me with my dilemma?
