if you accept the divergence of species, that is, populations become separated geographically or just reproductively isolated...and you accept that evolutionary changes occur at level of the gene...
then, why would it be too difficult to accept that when two reproductively isolated populations of the same species undergo genetic mutations, that eventually...they will develop different physical traits? (that is, their subsequent offspring and so on)

love how people say that the reason that God exists is because of the complexity of the universe and the cell and the human body that a ultimate creator HAD to create it. why?? can't you comprehend such a complexity? is your brain too small to understand such a possibility? saying that something is so rare to happen DOESN'T PROVE otherwise. that's the dumbest logic ever.
and to the actual question. this is the only proof i need that there wasn't a CREATOR and that evolution is TRUE. ready for it?? christians believe that god created the earth and everything in it. they believe this because of what the bible says. and the bible says this happened approximately around 4000 BC. that's right....4000 BC. that's impossible. common freaking sense tells you otherwise. 2nd grade social studies class tells you otherwise. so all the physical data about early species (LIKE DINOSAURS) and glaciers and land formations (from how the continents formed) and everything technology and extensive studies from that technology IS ALL MADE UP AND BOGUS??? us humans have evolved to learn and know more through this technological age (of only about 100 years)...we're learning more and more about everyday things. so why DISMISS ALL THAT PROGRESS IN LEARNING MORE???
keep your close-minded, small brains to thinking that an imaginary, made up god (one of thousands in history) created everything. refuse yourself to think objectively and logically and stick with the notion from what your parents told you. good luck praying and devoting your life to a myth and something that's not there.

When a person believes in the hokus-pokus-dominokus of creation, all the evidence in the world will never change his undernourished brain.
If all the evidence of evolution is beyond your understanding, please stick with your own beliefs. And do us all a favor, and keep your ideas to yourself.
Atheists aren't attempting to draw you away from your beliefs. Why can't you just believe whatever you want to and let the other guy do the same ?

There is great evidence in the fossil record for divergent species. For instance we have lovely fossils indicating that whales and other large marine mammals first lived on land and then returned to the water.
Moreover there is no gene for lungs or livers. Many many genes interact so cells can form lungs or livers.
A basic biology course would be a great help to you.
But as long as you are using the Bible as a primary text science is not going to make any sense to you.

Evolution diversified primitive living matter into different kinds of creature, and then these creatures themselves evolved over aeons of time into the form we see them today -those who survived the passage of time of course. Adaptation is totally different from evolution. An example of adaptation is where a creatures original living conditions are destroyed, or decreased, and over a few generations that species comes to adapt to different conditions - it finds new ways to survive. There is a very good example of evolution right in our own bodies. The human appendix is a defunct organ - its equivalent still very much alive and active in wild animals, releasing into the digestive tract bacteria that helps break down "raw food" Humans discovered fire, began cooking and generally pre-preparing food, and very slowly, over a long long period of time, the appendix lost its value and shrunk to become that little "finger" of tissue at the end of the large intestine. Occasionally, in a few people, the appendix itself gets infected, and has to be removed. We don't miss it because it wasn't doing anything for us anyway. We evolved away from the circumstances in which it was necessary. Adaptation is an external adjustment to environmental conditions. But deeper, and beyond adaptation, we are simultaneously evolving at the cellular level into more complex and sophisticated versions of our original species.
Of course cats don't "adapt into dogs" Nor do they evolve into dogs, or deer, or elephants LOL. Original species "refine" themselves if you will, through evolution, over very very long periods of time. We, as animals, are in the process of doing the same. Living humans can't see the process because our life span is way too short. A single tiny change in a single gene takes many, many, many generations to spread itself around through reproduction, until eventally, over time the only people alive are those with this element of genetic change. It has only been in recent times in our human history, that we have acquired the ability to actually analyze our genetic code. I guarantee that from hereon, the clear proof of the evolutionary process is going to become easier and easier for people to understand. LOL, and because of that, humans will certainly find themselves having to adjust their earlier thoughts and beliefs, and "adapt" to that new, clear evidence of exactly how we got "here" from "there"

Here is my list. There is more, I just tried to stick with the easy to understand ones.
* Fossils - the order can be determined by stratification alone and life started simple and got more complex.
* Anatomical similarities between species.
* Chemical similarities between species.
* Mitochondrial DNA regressive studies.
* Geographic distribution of related species.
* Wisdom Teeth - there isn't room on your jaw for them anymore.
* Your little toe - totally useless.
* Your appendix - totally useless now but it does digest cellulose in other species.
* Your inner eyelids - They don't even work now.
* Vestigial DNA - meaning chromosomes that we have but don't use, but that used in other species.
* The fact that we share so much DNA among species
* There are no wild cows
* Different breeds of dogs, cats, livestock.
* Viruses like the flu evolve quickly and you can actually see it
* Your tail bone. It is even not that uncommon to be born with a tail.
* Goosebumps - this would be useful if we had fur.
* The hair standing up on your neck when you are frightened. Animals use this to make themselves look bigger.
* The fact that humans have gotten measurably and heritablely taller since the 1600s
* The fact that humans jaw have gotten measurably and heritablely smaller since the 1600s
* The fact that humans little toes have gotten measurably and heritablely smaller since the 1600s
* Human lower back problems. Your back is intelligently designed to have support from your shoulders.

-.- If you're a Christian, please go away now before posting anymore questions like this, or I'ma get really mad and say what proof do you have that God exists? And yes, I don't really know much about evolution, but you know what? I'm not even old enough to have sex yet. I'm not gonna go read a whole page on evolution in Wikipedia or something. So shush.
If you're an Atheist(which you probably aren't), I don't know and I don't care.
OK, then tell me this. How did animals get to Australia and all the out of place islands? Don't tell me the kangaroo got to Australia on Noah's Ark, because Noah got 2 of each animal on his ark. Please. And don't say God made the kangaroo there. Or say that God sent them there on his magical winds. No, tell me how a kangaroo got to Australia if God made everything. That's right. EVERYTHING.

Where did you get your Data? A christian website? Actually we do have vast amounts of Evidence in the fossil record...so your wrong there and as far as your DNA example goes its Laughable. 98% of the National Scientific community disagrees's with you my friend. Sorry. I have been studying this subject for 8 years and I can say with 110% certainty you are absolutely wrong. The article below explains more of the missing fossil record.

Evidence. How about the fact that the Ocean's Seas have practically the same salt content as what is in our blood.
Evidence. Then what the F#$% are all those Cro-Magnon Bones doing in all of our museums??? The fact that there is a link between us and early man is not proof enough?
You speak of a "divine" blueprint... Yet you do not question how your god was created in the first place. Either God is an Atheist or there is a God that created God.
