You have two options. Believe it or not I put mine in the dishwasher. I have a fry daddy and just disconnet the electrical cord and throw it in. I have been doing this for years and have had no problem. Option two is to turn it on and let it heat up, scrape what you can off. Then add hot water and dawn dishwashing detergent to it and let it cook. This should soften it up enough to to be able to wipe off. Good luck...

A product called Power Dissolve.
You spray it on the fryer, let it sit for 15 mins and then wipe off. You may have to scrub a bit still, but most of the gunk will be gone.
Then give pan a good wash and you're good to go.

I love this stuff, it works great at cleaning the cooktop as well.

The standard industrial cleaning works best, a 5% Caustic soda (Sodium Hydroxide) solution heat to just below boiling point hold for 1 hour then rinse out and with the 2nd rinse put in some acid - citric acid is best & boil well (>10min).
Be sure to have some dilute(1:10) vinegar (acetic acid) in case of a caustic splash, caustic will not wash off with plain water.

despite you are able to pull off the deep fryer... stick interior the dish washing gadget. Get a Mr. clean magic eraser, get it moist with warm water... then rub off the grease on the outdoors. it will bead off... If mandatory, use some 409 to help with the reducing technique. a splash elbow grease gets it off actual.

dont know, but what about hot water from the kettle - melt it and pour it out? not a good idea to tip it down your sink/drain tho as when it goes cold it will go solid in your pipes. Pout it into a tin and throw out with rubbish

a solution of baking soda, lemon juice and scalding hot water should do the trick. Let it soak, then rinse with more hot water.
