Here is an axiom I believe in. The only prerequisite to holding territory is the ability to defend it. I wish war was not necessary, while I love liberal philosophy and wish man could evolve to the point that we can share or resources and discuss our differences without resorting to violence, I also know it is misguided. Man is an aggressive and greedy animal, millions of years of evolution have made us this way, it is unrealistic to think that we can all of the sudden ignore our base instincts. There are people out there who want to kill you for who you are, what you believe in, where you live, or what your ethnic background is. No amount of reasoning or appeasing them is going to change their opinion of you so your only choice is to be able to defend yourself and confront people who are your enemy. Man may eventually evolve to the point where war is no longer necessary but I do not believe we are near that ultimate goal.

The war and its necessity . do you think that the world can stay a while without making a war. I don’t think so .. you have put the answer of this q? in your q? already,
And something that must be understood .. is that the people who making the war ,, the have a business in it . not only making a war . cos there is many kinds of war ,
War’s that you are right and war’s that you are wrong,
Defending your country is a legal war
Defending your land and home is a legal war
Invading countries is a bad war
Attacking others land is a bad war to
And nowadays we have a mislead in understanding the war , sometimes some people are defending their country and we call the terrorists and other invading the lands and we call the heroes ,,,
So this is the non understandable face of the war ,, of cores this comes with the stronger part in the war , but we are forgetting something that the people of the invaded country will always win the war no matter how strong is the invader.
But the war is a need sometimes to clear things out , to let every one know exactly what is the business behind the war makers ,,, when they loose

War forces evolution. The strong survive the weak die ( nations not people BTW ). Through war and battle the old gets destroyed forcing a rebuild and an improvement. Look at Britain, Germany and France. Many areas were destroyed but they were rebuilt to be better. The US exists as a direct result of war. No US citizen can be against war because it gave them there right to exist.
Out with the old in with the new. That should be the motto of war.

Of course. Sure it would be nice to sit back and not worry about Iraq. Just let them do whatever they want over there, but what about in 10 years? Or even 5 years from now? When Iran suddenly has complete control over the Middle East and is the world's newest super power. Then Iran has nuclear weapons, and uses them on Israel. A few nuclear strikes on that country would all but wipe it out.
Now World War III is started. Because America didn't think fighting in Iraq was worth it. Because 3,000 dead Americans is too many. How many are going to die in WWIII? 100,000? 200,000? Maybe. We were LUCKY to "only" lose 115,000 in World War I, and that was without nuclear weapons.

Everybody should realize that war is a terrible thing, and I wish that none of us would ever have to experience the horrors of it.
Fighting the Nazis was the right thing to do. It was a good thing that the civil war in America happened and there have been other wars that are completely justifiable. WAR NEEDS TO HAPPEN.
peace must be preserved,or it must be gained. So,sometimes war is necessary and is the only alternative.

Lot of thing will be happen without war
BUT remember,DO NOT SOLVE ANY PROBLEM WITH WAR
we still can live in this world. We dont need to take other country island.we dont need to be in war for just one men assassination.Always try another way to evade war.War is a last choice

You've already pointed out 2 of the biggest reasons why, yes, regrettably, war IS necessary. As long as Man continues to be greedy and selfish, there will be wars. War is not desirable, but it is a necessary evil.

Is war necessary? Necessary for what??? Is it necessary to keep the "bad guys" from taking over the world. Probably.
But - if you believe it a higher power (which most of the people involved in war do) and immortality- then why would you resort to violence.? Why not just let the "bad guys" do their "bad stuff" - while you stay peaceful as you know is your true nature. And - if they kill you - (which they probably will) - you will just move on to the BIGGER picture. War is NOT necessary (or moral) for people who believe in a higher power and immortality.

war is defined as the last measure to resolve conflicts and it has its own laws .If the war is unjustified it is simply an aggression against another people(like the Iraqi war). Therefore war is considered necessary provided that it is fair, with clear objectives and within the UN Charter and International Law.
