Hi. This is a good question. Jesus is making intercession for you and me. The Bible says that no body comes to the Father except through Jesus. So I call Him Heavenly Father. I pray in the name of Jesus. But all of those are in the name of God. It's quiet alright to look up those names and use them.

The bible gives us an example on how we should pray. Our prayers should start with God being known as Father.

lord...but often I don't use such terms of endearment but rather a conversational prayer... like a friend to a friend... because I knw His attributes and when you delight yourself in Him, He just lets you into Himself to know that He is a counsellor and father,etc...
you just know it but doesnt need be mentioned...but sentiments do vary...

I already have a father

and God is much more than a father to me

Hes everything I have.

The only thing I have, for He is the only thing that is eternal. and therefore real.
