The men in blue are doing a outstanding job. You appreciate more when the policemen in other countries ask for bribes. I think they are great and most of all no corruption. More benefits and perks should be given to them for safe guarding us from all these terrors.
Heard about alot of stories that police are like public buses, when you want them they are not there and when you do not want them they come in pair.
To me they just want everyone to be responsible for themselves, don't engage in illegal activities, fights and avoid confrontation etc. Overall they are excellent to compare with many countries I have visited or work.

Today SPF is very different in the past. I should say instead of call it as Singapore Police Force, it should be Singapore Police Service instead. It's provide more services than apprehend criminals. You change your address at Police Post, you ask the Police for directions, phone directory for various Government Department.
Why the man in blue have to do all these things? Because a written complaint from the public, a file will be opened, and the Poilceman will be investigated. Any written warning will bar him for promtion for three years.
Yes, less Singaporean had quitted or don't want to join the SPF, because they prefer to be a "complaining Singaporean", then being a "Complained Police Officer".

5 out 10 Policeman are Malaysian? He must be joking.

Being a policeman is not as easy as you think. All you see is policeman going around screening people. That is only 1 out of 100000 things they have to do.

Sign up to be a police officer and you get first hand experience of being a policeman.

SPF wants to attract Singaporeans into this job, but quite unsuccessful lah! Singaporeans don't want the job, why want to pick up this job?

They are quite efficient, and certainly effective. Very no-nonsense and uncompromising when it comes to security issues.
