I always wondered that also.Was he looking at a cow and said gee it must be full of something I can drink.Or he could of seen cave women breast feeding and put 2 and 2 together.Look at the chicken. If I didn't know anything about chickens an saw one lay eggs,what would possess me to eat something out of a chickens butt.

I believe it wasn't actually men who discovered it. It was women, and observance of the same habits from her to the cow with their children... We're also talking about a long long long time ago, possibly before there were written languages..

I believe that a man was watching calves nurse, and being hungry himself thought, wow here is sustainance!! If I can get what that cow is giving it's children, I can feed my own!!
Very simple, but probably true.

The milk part is easy, thinking about eating the Rump or the T-Bone would have been harder.
PS. I think the person who first said i am going to eat that cows rump is much smarter than the guy that said i am going to suck its **** (no offence intended)
