There is no way that he was glorifying speed by what he said during the airing of hamsters crash. Is it about time that some of these politicians and road safety people left him alone, after all i'm sure that hamsters crash has taught a lot of people about the dangers of high speed driving even tho he didnt die (thank god!)

JC rocks. Anybody who thinks that Top Gear glorifies speed and doesn't get Jeremy Clarkson... WHY ARE YOU WATCHING IT? Good grief. If it upsets you that much, turn the bl**dy programme off.

They're not glorifying speed (well, not much anyway). Why do you think they get The Stig to drive the cars round the track - he's a pro, and they push the cars to the limit to see how safe they are!

We all know that speed can be dangerous, but these guys are pros - why do you think James "Boring" May doesn't get to go in the good cars?

Haven't seen any of it but i'll guess its some limp wristed liberal bed wetters foaming at the mouth. Good piss-take from JC at the end of the show - remember, speed kills, hilariously funny putdown of the anti speeding bunch.

Whatever people tell us, people will never change their attitudes, yes we know speeding is dangerous, yes we know we might die - but we still do it, why? BECAUSE ITS FUN, we live in an increasingly over-bearing nanny state, do this, dont do that, thats bad for you, blah blah blah bollocks. Cars cover two basic instincts sex and violence and nothing can change that, people will always buy fast cars and drive them quickly.

Driving a drag car on a private runway with medical support is about as far removed from speeding on a road as you could get.
Political correctness has gone too far these days.

I think JC is big enough and ugly enough to look after himself.

The fact is 'Top Gear' is a lads programme that celebrates lads behaviour so we shouldn't expect anything else from it. None of the three presenters can drive any better than the average driver anyway, so the crash is not a huge surprise. In fact Clarkson himself is unable to drive any performance car without rubbing down the rough edges in the gearbox!

My sister is a friend of the first 'Stig', he said they were all rubbish drivers, but that they were entertainers.

I haven't heard a word. I will go out on a limb and assume this is the press you are talking about. they are all scum. Last weeks news dressed up to feed the arrogance and riches of their paymasters.

xxB
PS I see now what you mean. I am off to write to BRAKE to tell them to eff off.

Clarkson and Hammond are obviously good mates. Anyone can see that he was clearly joking and Hammond wasn't annoyed in the slightest.

Bless him, he's so cute!!

Might I point out to any whingy old liberals (you know who you are "Transport1650" and "BREAK") that you are more than welcome to switch off your television receiving equipment at any time should you wish to not hear other viewpoints (This would also save energy with regard to your Global Warming points too)
