I am 162cm and I weigh 75kg which is 166 lbs.
I've never weighed this much EVER, my weight has been a consistent 57-60 kgs or 132 ounds for 10 or so years.
With heathly eating (ie, not dieting, but cutting down on sugars and caffiene and cutting out potato chips), sleep and exercise (at a gym), my goal is to lose 3kgs (6.6 lbs) a week. My boyfriend said this is not safe to do and it stressful on the body.
Any thoughts or opinions?

Is it safe to loose weight quickly? Good Question. However depending on how much you weigh now, your muscle mass, your caloric intake and your activity level you could do it.
Let me explain. The heavier you are the easier it is to loose weight quickly. This is due to the fact that a) you are probably reducing your calories, b) increasing your activity, c) doing exercises that are meant to grow or at least maintain current body muscle.
Simply it means calories in -vs- calories out. Cut back on fats, sugars and nutritionally empty carbohydrates. Drop the soft drinks, beer and other alcoholic beverages. Stay away form "diet pills" and other snake oil products.
Then, begin to increase your metabolism. In other words, exercise. Begin by walking, increasing your distance and reducing your time everyday. Soon you will be jogging or running. Find an exercise that you like to do with someone else. Your boyfriend perhaps. Swimming, biking, racquetball, volleyball, whatever. You don't have to be good at it you just have to do it and do it for fun. Plus, you do want to push yourself. Sweat! Burn off the calories stored in your body fat and get slimmer, healthier.
You will find that you will become more alert. More energetic. And you will want to do more things.

Good Luck.

It is positively dangerous.
Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

Don't count the kilo's you lose per week, watch the inches. 3 kgs per week I think is a little much. believe that the faster you lose the weight, the sooner it can pile back on! So keep it going... just don't do anything drastic.
Watch the food you eat. Avoid oily stuff, and sugary treats. Try eating almonds (they're great for health), once a week (atleast) eat FISH. Salmon is great, tuna is good too, garupa is my fave.
Avoid red meats for a while.
Eat lighter smaller meals, and make it 6 instead of three. This way, your metabolism is at its peak and you tend to lose weight faster when you work out.
Drink lots of water. Try 2 litres (atleast) a day. It'll help flush out the toxins and aid losing weight.
Good luck!

Your boyfriend is right. This is dangerous. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and veggies and drink 6-8 glasses of water/day. Small meals/snacks about 6/day instead of 3 meals. Limit your fat intake. At most you should lose 1 kg./wk. Make these, lifestyle changes and you will see noticeable changes in a month or so.
