How can we protect ourselves from getting pneumonia when my husband already have it. how big is the chance that we might get it..?

Get a cool mist humidifier. Add a pint of hydrogen peroxide to a gallon of water in the tank. Run that while you sleep. First in your husbands room, since his situation is more critical, then in the baby's. Inflammation is usually an infection, so yes it is communicable. the humidifier needs to be cool, because heat will simply separate the extra oxygen from the peroxide, and it will lose its cleansing effect.

it can not be passed on to another person and i should know i have had it 6 times single 3 times and double 3 times and i took care of my baby and my husband .it is an infection in the lungs and it cant be passed on .

Yes, there could be a chance. Limit the time your baby is exposed to your husband. Frequent good hand washing. Have him dispose of his tissues in a separate garbage bag. Make sure your dishwater is hot. Good luck. Hope he is healthy soon.
