You might use one of these as an idea to base your OWN unique back piece on......ultimately the best tattoo on a back is one that YOU love....So base it on something that has meaning to you.....and for gods sakes go to the best artist you can find. Money should not be a consideration. If you have to wait a little longer to save the money , be patient. You are going to have this piece of art on your skin until you die.... make it a Whistler or a Rembrandt ....not Dogs Playing Poker on black velvet

It depends on your taste. Look around on the web to find something you like. Go to different Tattoo shops to see what they have. Do you have a tattoo already? If so and you trust your tattooer ask him/her for some suggestions.
Butterfly's are always a good tattoo. Same with flowers and birds. Or something tribal.
But do your self a BIG favor and look at different ideas and then think about it for awhile beforee getting it. Take my word it sucks to have a tattoo that you got at the spare of a moment just to end up hating it. I had to get one covered because of this. ALWAYS think about it for awhile befor jumping in the tattoo chair for that ink.

Tribal Tribal Tribal.It took me 2 years to find the perfect tattoo but im determined to be in love with this tattoo so im not going to get it for a couple of months and every day i look at it...after all if i get sick of it on paper then i will realy regret it on my flesh...sorry if this offends you but porn stars often do have very hot back tattoos

Well I have A lower back tattoo and it is of an scorpion well thats what it say "Scorpion" the "S" is made out of a scorpion & the other letter are in an devilish way alot of females that have seen my tattoo try 2 get there sign like mys but it only works for me.

there really is no "best" thing you could get on your back but i always like a full back piece. there are so many possibilities for what can be done with it. it all depends on what you like and what you already have but i love my back tattoo.
the most important thing is to pick a good tattoo artist tho.

i just watched an episode of Miami ink. a girl from hawaii asked chris to tattoo her back with flowers. the design was like a falling flowers staring on the left shoulder down to the right side of your back of the tummy. it's really gorgeous! ♥
