i have a copper birch tree that needs to come down it is about 30ft and i am trying to get some idea how much this will cost to remove any ideas please would be great

Look for an arborist in your local paper or Yellow pages. That person will give you the best advice for your tree and circumstances.
Please don't buy a chainsaw.

To drop the tree, cut up and remove it would be about $1,500 in my area: Southwestern PA.

If the tree is not dead or diseased, keep it. Get a tree surgeon to look at it and make a recommendation on cutting it back so as to not kill it. I think it is a beautiful ornamental tree.

Shame to get rid of it. Ask a tree surgeon to trim it/shorten it....I like trees

You can get a decent chainsaw for around a $150.00.
