i have a large dog and whenever he comes near me he shakes, because he loves me so much, he knows who feeds him, keeps him healthy, and who adores him. dogs are the best. he is just showing you you are a good mom and he loves you....

The shaking is their way of shivering...because they're cold. Ever noticed how skinny people feel cold more easily than fat people? It's the same way with dogs. An itty bitty dog can't hold in a lot of body heat because it doesn't have enough meat and fat to keep itself warm.

We have a chihuahua and he is 9 yrs old he always shakes , vet told us small dogs are nervous cause they are scared of big things such as trucks , buggies anything bigger than them , so ours shakes alot too

Sometimes they are cold and sometimes it's an over abundance of some emotion. My little mini dachshund shakes when she knows it's meal time.

They shake when they are nervous, scared or cold. We have chihuahuas and they don't handle cold very well.

it is their nature my tea cup chic does it all the time when we are out in public but when we are home she ony shakes when she is cold
