Ok, I know it's bad so don't need to have my eyes 'opened', it's pretty clear to me; also, I'm not in the States so if you tell me to call someone there...won't happen either, I just need help with what to replace smoking with.
I smoke out of boredom, I'm bored, I smoke. I don't have much to do, so I smoke. I'm checking my e-mails (at home), I smoke. See? what can I replace this horrible habit with? I don't want to start eating and gain weight...

Please help? Serious answers, please!

Thank you, it means a lot to me!

You smoke because you are used to putting something in your mouth, I quit smoking after many years, all I did one day was through all my ciggs and liters in the trash, I took the ashtrays and threw them out as well, I opened the windows to air out my home and I just quit, I went cold turkey. I will be quit for 3 years coming up in Sept. And now I hate the smell of smoke, funny huh. Its not that hard, it is a mental thing and you have to say you are stronger then that ciggerette. Get lots of packs of gum or lollipops and everytime you want one suck on a that and think of something else, it only takes 21 days to break a habbit, good luck!

since you smoke that much everyday, your body got adjusted having these poisons running ur body. That's why people with more serious drug problems can actually die by quiting abruptly. You hav to take decrease your amount of cigarettes maybe every few weeks or whatever you're comfortable with. The reason why you were coughing and stuff (tryign to not smoke) was because your body was so used to having 2-5 cigarettes a day. So each week you should decrease slowly from 2-4cigarettes, then another few weeks, 2-3, then so on.

I used the Nicorette gum. I understand the patches work well too. The main thing you need is the desire and willpower. Evidently you have the desire. Please don't worry about the weight. A few extra pounds is healthier than the cigarettes. If it is a BIG hurdle, take up some form of exercise. It will help with the boredom and the potential weight gain. Good luck!!

to quit , you could try the patch , & the gum thing , but my friend tried that & it didnt work , he ended up just buying a pack of ciggarettes , sitting down & smoking ALL of them . it made him feel really sick , & he threw up .. but after that he never wanted to smoke again ... & now its been 4 years .. just smelling a cigarette makes him want to puke , but only do that as a last resort cause its totaly bad for you ... good luck =)

Try Nicoderm CQ Patches. They really work! I used them. But you have to really want to quit, though.
