I have MCE 2005. If I were to install Vista Premium, {not a clean install} what would I be losing? ie: XP Professional. I have a internet protection that I really like and trust {Panda}, will I still be able to utilize Panda, or will I need to use what comes with Vista. Thanks in advance. Stormy

Hi Stormy,

I am planning on waiting a while before installing Vista. Aside from the fact that it is new, no one has convinced me that a) it is better and b) my current software will work.

Best to wait until a service pack or two are released before thinking about it.

Hey Stormy,

If you are not doing a clean install, then you should not lose anything on your system. Before you actually install Vista, go to microsoft.com/windowsvista and download the windows vista upgrade advisor. This will scan your computer and notify you of incompatible software or hardware. As long as the advisor does not find anything incompatible, then you should be up and running with no problems! Good luck!

i recommend waiting. i have tried vista and despite how nice it is - its still unstable - i recommend u chillin a hot min b4 tryn it out n read mo on other peoples takes n opinions on vista....

anatha option is 2 download an image backup software application which will store an image of ur current pc and ur favorite programs like panda - then afta u have this sorted - go ahead and try vista and if it doesnt work - u can use the cds/dvds u created as an image 2 return ur pc 2 how it was

- u can research more on image backup software by googlin/yahoo these key words "backup image software" -

- i like acronis - its a good one. but there r plenty more out there

hola if u nid mo info or if u nid me 2 xplain mo on the above
