Air is inhaled at its ambient temperature and moisture content. Apart from particulate and gaseous contaminants it is a mixture comprising about 22 % oxygen and 78 % nitrogen, small percentages of other natural gasses and that moisture. When air is exhaled, the temperature is around 90-95 deg. the moisture content is much higher. The nitrogen content is the same , but about 5% of the oxygen has been combined with carbon to form carbon dioxide in the lungs. That leaves about 15-16 % oxygen in the exhaled air with the 5% CO2.
Mouth-to-mouth CPR works because the victim can survive on that 15% oxygen.

Its called respiration. You should have paid attention in class.
The main difference is that in exhaled air the oxygen level will have done down while the carbon dioxide level will go up.
If you want your teacher to fall about on the floor laughing then say that you breath out carbon monoxide.
Also the air is warmer because of your body heat, the water vapor level will be higher, and it will smell bad if your dental hygiene is poor.

Inhaled air contains more oxygen than exhaled air because some is used in respiration.
» Inhaled air contains less carbon dioxide and water vapour than exhaled air, because some is produced by the body in respiration.
» Exhaled air is warmer and cleaner than inhaled air because heat energy is produced by respiration, and dirt gets trapped in mucus lining the airways.

the difference between inhaled and exhaled air is.. when you inhale air, oxygen is a primary element while when exhaled.. you are producing carbon dioxide whixh is essential for plants. As we know in chemistry, plants produces oxygen!!! life is a cycle!
