replace your filter and fluid it may start to get worn out you should have red fluid not brown you should service trans every 25,000 miles check your passing gear cable to see if is not disconnect hope it helps

If you look at the ratios the 1 st to second on a van is a little rougher. Now if it shakes and doesn't want tot engage second then that is a whole nuvva levo.
I agree however that a trans service should be on a no more than 35K mile interval, This keeps the tranny happy and it does get hotter pulling that windstar around

Change the tranny fluid and filter. It will cost like $25.00-$40.00 if you do it yourself Spend a little now so you don't pay allot later! It's not that hard to do, but if you know nothing about cars I would have someone else do it. The shops like to rip you off.
