hi
i had panic attacks for years to the point where i was housebound, i took classes once a week for 16 weeks on how to deal with them, my biggest thing was not being able to breath, hyperventilating, cure you CANT hyperventilate with your mouth shut, if you become to a point where you go somewhere, & have one make sure whoever goes with you knows , so you can leave if you want to, panic attacks are common & a learned behaviour which you need to unlearn, heart palpitations, sweats i also learned if i start to have one put a thick rubberband around your wrist & when you feel it coming on snap it hard
good luck

the best way is to identify what triggers these panic and anxiety attacks and learn effective coping skills to deal with them. :-)

I would say to talk to your doctor about getting some medication for it. Until then, it depends on when you have them. I usually get them when I'm trying to sleep and unless I want to be awake all night, I chug some ny-quil. If during the day, I take a moment alone, do some breathing exercises, and try to clear my mind of EVERYTHING.

Cut out caffeine, don't go into situations that you know can cause them unless you ready, learn to breath properly and use a brown paper bag to breath into.(so carry one with you)
Remember you are in control not the other way round, not easy but just try and stay calm because if you don't it can get worse.
Or you can always go have a chat with your doc

In order to solve the problem, you have to find out what is causing the problem. You can do this by yourself [if it is something minor], or with professional help.
