oh my goodness, i am sorry that u have 2 go through this!! firstly take him to the vet. tell the vet exactly what is happening and the exact contents of the sandwich. tuna in small doses is usually ok for dogs, but in some cases it can contain a high magnesium level which is fine for humans but not for dogs. it can cause stomach illness, heart problems and blackleg. be calm and take ur dog out the vet right away. if ur dog knows u r stressing he will stress to and this isnt good for him if he is having a reaction. dont worry about the other answers u will get to ur question- they will be here when u return from the vet, just take him right away incase he gets worse. good luck and i hope he is ok!! feel free to email me and pls give me an update on his health!!

if the vets are closed the best thing is to do is try to make him be sick again. My dog ate what he shouldnt of once and i took him in the car he gets car sick :( to make him sick. Do u no what can make him sick?? Lots of water, hard to make a dog drink but its very important he does. Its more than likely he has a stomach ache maybe it was off or doesnt aggree with him. Now im not trying to poison ur dog so dont think that this is a joke. Any medicine you can give to a baby you can give to a dog. So calpol under three months and things like that just to ease the pain a little . That was told to me by my dogs vet. Dont give him any other food as its more than likely he will be sick again. remember the last time you ate something that didnt aggree with u sick? stomache ache? thats what is happening to ur dog he just cant tell you whats up!! Hope he gets better just give him lots of hugs and make sure he is very comfortable and not alone. ( p.s i think the pooper scopper will be needed alot in the next 24 hours) good luck Hannah

Well ive never heard of a dog reacting that way to tuna but i recommend taking him to a vet>>>NOW!! ...if that is not possible keep him in the house (Maybe the bathroom if he's not usually an indoor dog.. Keep him warm and hydrated and if he will eat maybe you should give him some normal dog food so that the tuna goes down instead of up.. pat him if he likes it to calm him down and make him more comfortable.
I hope he's okaii.. xx.

Ham would've been bad, too, as dogs' tummies can't easily digest pork products.
Yes, the vet. Get him to a vet.
He may have already vomitted out most of the tuna, but clearly he is still in pain.

give him some pepto, wait 30 minutes and if he is still vomiting give him some more, etc. It will need some water to drink also. Don't let it try and eat anything. If it doesn't get better after a few hours you will need to call the vet and don't forget to tell him what you have done up to that point. Good Luck!

Take his food away and just leave out his water... Tuna is not bad for dogs but I think the mayo is.... If he's still vomitting (24hr later) take him to the vet...

Take him to the vet, you should never feed your animals left-overs *sure they like it, but it is not good for them* a complete dog food has everything he needs. Poor baby.... he will more than likely throw up until he gets it off his stomach and then he will feel bad for awhile, make sure he is getting plenty of liquids or he coule dehydrate himself.

You should not even given him sandwiches! Its not very healthy to eat human food if you are a dog. If it is very serious take it to the vet. If not, just give him medicine and talk sweetly to your dog. Make him feel comforted.

Does your dog have a fever? Is it breathing ok? Does it have an airway abstruction? I would consult a vet.
